1. The short version
SimCheat is a free information site. You don't need an account, and we never ask you to sign in or give us personal details to browse. Right now we don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we'll update this policy first and ask for your consent through a cookie banner before any non-essential cookies are used. We don't sell your personal information.
2. What we collect
- Server logs: like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure.
- Traffic protection: our site traffic passes through Cloudflare, which processes technical data (including IP addresses) to deliver pages quickly and block attacks.
- Anything you send us: if you email [email protected], we receive your email address and your message.
We don't operate user accounts and don't knowingly collect names, addresses or payment details on this site.
3. Third parties
- Hosting: our web host stores the site and its server logs in the UK.
- Cloudflare: delivers and protects the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
If we add advertising (such as Google AdSense), analytics or affiliate links in future, we'll list them here before they go live.
4. Legal bases (UK/EU GDPR)
- Legitimate interests: for server logs, site security and replying to messages you send us.
- Consent: we'll rely on consent for any non-essential cookies or personalised advertising, if we add them in future.
5. Your rights (UK/EU)
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
6. Your rights (California and other US states)
If you live in California or a US state with similar privacy laws, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
- We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.
- If we add personalised advertising in future, you'll be able to opt out through the cookie banner, and we'll honour your browser's Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.
- We won't treat you differently for using these rights. Send requests to [email protected].
7. International transfers
Some of our providers, such as Cloudflare, are based in the US, so your data may be processed outside the UK/EU. Those transfers rely on the providers' safeguards, such as the UK/EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long we keep data
We don't hold a database of visitors. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host and then deleted. Emails you send us are kept only as long as we need them to deal with your message.
9. Children
SimCheat is for a general audience and isn't aimed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical steps to protect the site. No website can be guaranteed 100% secure.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll highlight any big changes on the site.
