Sims 4 Create a Sim cheats

Normally Create a Sim only lets you change clothes and looks once a Sim is in your game. Full edit mode opens everything back up.

Full edit in Create a Sim cas.fulleditmode Lets you change everything about an existing Sim, including their name and traits. Type it first, then shift-click the Sim and choose Modify in CAS. Needs testing cheats

With full edit mode on, you can change things about an existing Sim that are usually fixed once they're in the world, such as their name and traits.

Step by step

  1. Open the cheat console with Ctrl + Shift + C (Cmd + Shift + C on Mac, or all four shoulder buttons on console).
  2. Enter testingcheats true.
  3. Enter cas.fulleditmode.
  4. Close the console, then hold Shift and click the Sim you want to change.
  5. Choose Modify in CAS from the menu that appears.
  6. Make your changes and confirm to go back to the game.

Unlocking locked items

Some reward objects are locked until your Sim reaches a certain career level. This cheat unlocks them in Buy Mode straight away:

Tips and problems

  • No "Modify in CAS" option? Testing cheats need to be on for the shift-click menu to show it.
  • Save before big changes. A quick save first means you can go back if you change your mind.
