None of these need testing cheats. Open the console in Build Mode or Live Mode and paste one in.

Placement shortcuts
These keyboard tricks work in Build Mode on PC and Mac. They're even more useful with bb.moveobjects on.

| Alt while placing (Option on Mac) | Places the object off the grid, so it doesn't snap into set spots. |
| Alt while rotating | Rotates the object freely instead of in 45-degree steps. |
| 9 and 0 | Moves the object up and down, so you can hang things higher on walls or float them. |
| Shift + ] and Shift + [ | Makes the object bigger or smaller. |
Tips and problems
- Objects clipping or floating oddly? That's the point of
bb.moveobjects on, but it can also block your Sims' paths. Turn it off withbb.moveobjects offwhen you're done. - Can't find the hidden objects? Search the Buy Mode catalogue for "debug" after entering
bb.showhiddenobjects. - Save first. Moving objects into odd spots can make a room hard to use. A quick save before you experiment makes it easy to undo.
